joshbrownplus is not a firm. It is me, reading documents for people who have been handed a decision and no real explanation of it. Every review is done by hand, by a person, and nothing is ever charged for.
I started this after going through it myself. I have seen the struggle of denied claims up close, and I came out of it realizing how blessed I was to have the time to appeal and get my money back. The appeal worked. What stayed with me was how much it took to get there.
Most people do not have that. They do not have the time, the money, or in many cases the ability to work through language and instructions written to be difficult. Some never find out they were allowed to appeal at all, or that a bill can be negotiated. That is who this is for. I want to help the people who are told no and have no one to read the letter with them.
The short version
Long documents are hard on purpose. Most people who get a denial do not appeal it, not because they agree, but because reading forty pages of plan language after a bad week is too much to ask. That is the gap this fills.

No fee, no paid tier, no referral arrangement, nothing sold to you later. If money ever enters this, it will be donations to keep it running, never charges to the people asking.

If my overview needs a second overview, I have failed. You should be able to read it once and know what to do on Monday.

Some situations need a lawyer, a patient advocate or a licensed advisor. I would rather say that in week one than be the reason you waited.
It does not have to be organized. A photo of a letter is a fine place to start.
